WAGGGS Namibia Profile
Global membership, local leadership
The Girl Guides Association of Namibia is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) Africa Region. WAGGGS lists Namibia as a Full Member and reports 485 girl guides in 2018, with national headquarters in Windhoek.
- Guiding in Namibia began in 1923 and the national association was established in 1990.
- Namibia became an Associate Member of WAGGGS in 1993 and a Full Member in 1999.
- The movement continues to strengthen youth leadership, training, and community service.
